Infinity Shield is a Mystic item available from the beginning of the game. The item provides Health, Damage, Cooldown Reduction, and the ability to discover Shield Runes while destroying bushes. A Shield Rune grants a powerful defensive effect that significantly increases both Physical Armor and Magic Resistance for a short time. When activated at the right moment, it can completely change the outcome of a fight by allowing a hero to survive damage that would normally be lethal. Because the rune is stored until activated, players can save it for critical moments, such as surviving a burst combo, diving into a fight, or protecting themselves while escaping. However, Shield Rune does not protect against Pure Damage. Heroes that rely on Pure Damage can still deal significant damage even while the shield is active.
